主要从事茶树营养与施肥、茶食品品质化学方面的教学研究。尤其是利用组学技术研究茶树根系生长发育,阐述关键基因调控茶树扦插生根、根系生长发育的分子机制;通过研究和探讨茶多酚与食品成分间的相互作用机理,为茶叶功能成分在茶食品中应用提供应用基础。教学方面,承担山东省专业学位研究生案例库建设课程1门,一流专业核心课程1门,必威betway东盟体育第二届教学创新大赛优秀教师,主讲的《茶叶审评与检验》课程获“全国茶学专业中青年教师教学能力大赛”二等奖,教研成果“应用型创新人才培养理念在茶学专业员工培养中的应用”获必威betway东盟体育教学成果二等奖;科研方面,担任崂山茶产业创新团队栽培岗位专家,主持山东省自然科学基金面上项目1项、山东省农业良种工程项目子课题2项,山东省高等学校科技计划项目1项,青岛市科技发展计划项目1项,参与国家自然科学基金4项。已在Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, LWT - Food Science and Technology, Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Foods, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry及《茶叶科学》、《食品工业科技》、《中国科技翻译》等国内外期刊发表论文30余篇。获山东省科技进步二等奖1项,三等奖1项,地厅级科技奖励6项;审定茶树新品种3个,授权专利6项。社会兼职方面,担任山东茶叶学会常务理事,青岛市茶文化研究会副会长。
